We have recently seen the very controversial Tanishq jewellery brand advertisement that featured the hindu-muslim theme on our screens because of which the bollywood film industry gave mixed reactions where some loved it and others hated it and in this ongoing trend the latest update here is that two of bollywood’s finest female actors have also shared their views on the same where Richa hails the Tanishq ad while Kangana slams it on twitter.
This does not really feel like a surprising move anymore since both these actors are very honest, bold and fearless in sharing their views on social media which was also seen in very recent times as Richa hails the Tanishq ad while Kangana slams it on twitter.
The storyline of this very controversial ad is that the Hindu mother in law is seen escorting her daughter in law to her baby shower function which is as per the Hindu religion and traditions.
Then in the next scene we see that the daughter in law is telling her mother in law that these traditions are not followed in their Muslim religion to which the mother sweetly tells her that making the daughters happy is followed in every religion and it is this ad which has divided the social media where some loved it and some hated it.
Even the film celebs are divided into two teams. While Richa Chadha finds the advertisement as very heart warming and beautiful, Kangana Ranaut did find it wrong on various levels.
Richa tweeted about the ad by saying it is beautiful where her tweet caption read, “It’s a beautiful ad”.
On the other hand, the reigning queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut shared her honest feeling and opinion in a series of tweets on her Twitter handle.
Declaring the ad to be very shameful, her twitter tweet caption read, “The concept wasn’t as much a problem as the execution was,the fearful Hindu girl apologetically expressing her gratitude to her in-laws for the acceptance of her faith, Isn’t she the woman of the house? Why is she at their mercy? Why so meek and timid in her own house? Shameful.”
Kangana’s next tweet in the same series had a caption which read, “This advert is wrong on many levels, Hindu bahu is living with the family for significant amount of time but acceptance happens only when she is carrying their heir. So what is she just a set of ovaries? This advert does not only promote love-jihad but also sexism #tanishq”.
Kangana’s next tweet in the same ongoing series had a caption which read, “As Hindus we need to be absolutely conscious of what these creative terrorists are injecting in to our subconscious, we must scrutinise, debate and evaluate what is the outcome of any perception that is fed to us, this is the only way to save our civilisation #tanishq”.
