In the recent turn of events, Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea has been turned down by the special court in Mumbai. A while back, Rhea’s earlier petition was rejected, and she was sent into 14-day judicial custody.

Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea was rejected by the special court, hence, she will not be granted bail. Reportedly the plea was turned down as it can be fatal for the evidence.

The actress was sent to Byculla Women’s Prison after being taken into custody.

The hearsay suggests that yesterday the special court was set to hear Rhea’s bail plea. However, now as per the reports, Rhea Chakraborty was not granted bail.

The reason behind this might be her tampering the evidence. They allegedly expressed a possibility of Rhea influencing others around her.

The case was addressed to Special Judge GB Gurao. The bail pleas of 4 others were also heard by the court. They were turned down too and the court was adjourned after that.

As per the statement given by Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde, he said, “Once we get a copy of the NDPS Spl Court Order, we will decide next week on the course of action about approaching the High Court”.

The 28-year old actress will remain in judicial custody till September 22. Another reason for the special court turning down Rhea’s plea is that the NCB is aiming to track down a larger drug racket. They allegedly expressed a possibility of Rhea being a part of it.

Rhea confessed to not only have consumed marijuana but also some hard drugs. The actress has been booked under sections 8(c), 20(b), 27(a), 28, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).

Following the tragic demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty has emerged as a prime suspect in the case. She has been interrogated by the CBI and the ED alongside NCB.
