Actor R Madhavan alongside Dia Mirza captivated the hearts of millions when they featured together in 2001 romantic movie Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein. It has been 19 years since the release of the movie and it still remains hitched in the hearts of the fans. Not only did the storyline of the film impress the audience but the songs also hold a special place in everyone’s heart. The film was an instant success and did a good business at the Box Office back in the days.
For years there have been speculations about the sequel of Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein and now it seems like the wish of the fans has been granted. It is speculated that the R Madhavan and Dia Mirza starrer may get a sequel after almost two decades. The sources revealed that the plot of the sequel will focus on the life of Maddy and Reena post their marriage and what followed.
An insider revealed to a news daily, “The makers toyed with some concepts, on and off, over the years. Only now have they found a script that has appealed to everyone and seems a natural progression to the lives of Maddy and Reena (the characters essayed by Madhavan and Mirza respectively). The script is in the final stage of development.”

Meanwhile, it was a couple of weeks back that Dia Mirza and R Madhavan went on Instagram Live session. During the Live session, the two spoke about the much-anticipated sequel. While talking about Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein sequel, Dia said, “We are doing our best to make it happen, but we will only work together when we can give our best. There is something so special about Reena and Maddy and I think there was an innocence and honesty we shared in RHTDM that resonates so deeply with everyone even today. We wouldn’t want to dilute that in any way.”
Well, any further confirmation about the same is not out yet but we hope that the much-loved movie gets the much-awaited sequel soon.
