THROWBACK! When Raveena Tandon Attempted Suicide After Ajay Devgn Ditched Her

In the 1990s, many such hit couples ruled the hearts of people with their on-screen pairing. And among them are Raveena Tandon and Ajay Devgn. If reports are to be believed, Ajay and Raveena were dating each other after starring together in the 1994 film Dilwale. Their relationship was the talk of the town on those days but apparently, Devgn ditched Raveena for Karisma Kapoor. The two got into a nasty war of words soon after their breakup. Not just that, Raveena was left heartbroken and attempted suicide.

While the actress many times in interviews claimed to have dated Ajay, the actor called her a ‘Born Liar.” The Drishyam actor denied their relationship claims and advised the actress to consult a psychiatrist. The actress even stated she owes letters as proof of their relationship but Ajay strongly rejected this and asked her to publish those letters. Talking about her suicide attained, Ajay called it a publicity gambit.

In an interview, Ajay Devgn called Raveena Tandon a born liar and said, “Everyone knows that she is a born liar, that’s why her silly statements don’t upset me too much. But, this time she has gone too far, she has crossed the limits of decency. It’s high time I gave her some advice. This girl must go to a psychiatrist immediately to get her head examined. Otherwise, she will land up in a lunatic asylum. I’m quite willing to accompany her to the shrink’s office.”

Post her partition with Ajay, Raaveena found love in Akshay Kumar on the sets of their film Mohra. The pair dated and even got engaged for a short period; later, they broke off their engagement and parted ways. In 2004, Tandon got married to businessman Anil Thadani.
