The veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah has been roped in the movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar to play lead actor Ranveer Singh’s mom. While this theatre legend plays Ranveer’s mom another theatre star Boman Irani will be seen playing the character of Ranveer’s dad. Shalini Pandey will be seen playing the lead role opposite Ranveer.
In one of the interviews, Ratna Pathak Shah revealed that a young actor approached her with the script of Jayeshbhai Jordaar. As the script was written by an actor the actress felt cautious, but after she started going through the script, she found the story quite interesting and entertaining. Ratna also told that the movie deals with a very deep message close to her heart very sensitively.
Also, Boman Irani told that the script of Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a very rare script with an amazing story. Boman Irani and Bollywood debutant Shalini Pandey are also quite excited to work with the powerhouse Ranveer Singh, as the actor gives them the opportunity of expressing themselves through the movie.
Ratna Pathak was approached by the writer-director of the movie Divyang Thakkar, who also was a protégé of Ratna in theatre. The movie is set in Gujarat and will be dealing with women empowerment.
