Recently Rashmika shared that the it’s an official wrap for the shoot of her upcoming new movie “Majnu Mission”, a spy thriller alongside Siddharth Malhotra. The actress, who is all excited about her Bollywood debut mentions how the movie gave her a lot of firsts.
“Firsts are always special and my first Bollywood film, Mission Majnu, gave me the opportunity to transcend my boundaries. My heart feels happy to know that I started my journey in Hindi cinema with this film and with these beautiful people.” she shared.
Kiara Advani was initially the first choice of the makers for the movie but apparently, the actress couldn’t commit to the film owing to her busy schedule. The Shershah actress has movies like “Bhool Bhulaiya 2” “Jug Jug Jiyo” “Govinda Nam Mera” and “RC 15” among others in her kitty. After her denial, the offer was made straight to Rashmika, who readily accepted this opportunity.
Apart from “Mission Majnu”, Sid is also shooting for Indra Kumar’s slice of life comedy, Thank God, which features Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is gearing up for a 2022 opening, on the big screen
The Dear Comrade actress further added,
“In the first narration itself, I knew I wanted to be a part of this film because I knew if not now, I’d not have done this character again. It’s one of those roles. It’s a now or never kinda character. “Mission Majnu” has given me so many firsts – from exploring the northern part of India, its culture, language, the people, the industry, and working with such a wonderful team and co-actors. I couldn’t have asked for more. I love you Team Mission Majnu”
Revealing about the movie, the main lead of the movie “Siddharth Malhotra” added,
“Mission Majnu” is a patriotic tale inspired by true events that celebrate the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to protect the citizens of our country. It is a privilege to tell the story of our brave agents, and I am eager to revisit a mission that forever changed the relationship between India and Pakistan.”
“Mission Majnu” is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language spy thriller film written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arora, and Sumit Batheja and directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta under the banners of RSVP Movies and Guilty By Association Media LLP.
