Ranvir Shorey on SSR’s Case: People Should Give It A Little Dignity

Ranvir Shorey gave his input on the Sushant Singh Rajput's case in a candid interview.

Ranvir Shorey on SSR’s case said people should keep quiet and give it a little dignity.

Shorey, in an interaction with a news portal, said that he will always remember Sushant as a fellow science buff. He called him a hard-working and talented bright young man who was very successful. Ranvir further added that the late actor had everything it takes to be a huge star.

Shorey also opened up about the public’s anger around Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. The actor worked with the late actor in Abhishek Chaubey’s 2019 film, ‘Sonichiraya’.

He reportedly said that the only way that anger will sink is if the agencies which are probing his death come up with answers. He further added that people should stay quiet and give it a little dignity.

Shorey even opened up about his views on toxic behaviour. He stated that people don’t have anything to do in lockdown. Social media offers them anonymity with no accountability and no consequences. Ranvir said that this should not be seen as a reflection of the real world.

Ranvir further questioned the reporting of Sushant’s case. He expressed his views. The actor said that the media should not take social media hashtags as topics for news. He stated that the hashtags can be bought and manipulated.

After Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death, fans of the late actor have been protesting against star kids and people who promote nepotism in Bollywood and deny opportunities to talented actors.

On Nepotism

Talking on that, Ranvir Shorey said that the entire insider-outsider and nepotism debate can be summed up under one term – cartelisation. In cartelisation, five to six big players come together and capture the entire market. According to the actor, a similar thing exists in the film industry as well.

He also stated that along with money, the entire reputation, fame, and goodwill is also passed on.

Earlier, after Jaya Bachchan’s speech in parliament where she defended the Bollywood industry, Ranvir had shared a cryptic post. In his post, he stated that while celebrities decorate plates for their children, they pack their tiffin themselves and go to work. The actor tried to metaphorically state that nobody has given people like him anything and that he has achieved things on their own.

Well Ranvir Shorey is one actor who never shies away from saying his mind.

The actor’s suicide has opened up a can of worms for the Bollywood industry. One after one allegations are coming up against star kids and big banners. Big names have also popped up, creating unrest in the industry.
