Ranveer Singh’s Character REVEALED In ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’

Ranveer Singh was last seen in the historical sports drama '83', will be next seen in 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar', a drama-comedy directed by Divyang Thakkar.

Post his last appearance in ’83’, Ranveer had left his fans speechless after giving a spell-bounding performance. Since then, fans have been waiting to witness his next magical performance but fret not, as Jayeshbhai Jordaar is right around the corner. Marking his directorial debut, Divyang Thakkar has also assured fans to bring out the best form Ranveer, who’s known for his versatility. Since the announcement of the movie, there has been so much secrecy around it, with respect to the film’s plot and character of the comedy-drama. But there has been an update about the film and about Ranveer’s character in the film.

It goes without saying, Ranveer will definitely be playing the titular role of ‘Jayeshbhai’ in the movie, but what’s unique, is that Ranveer will be seen portraying the character in a way that he hasn’t done before. Despite Ranveer having been a part of many comedy-drama movies, fans will get to witness a different side of him in this movie. A lot of effort has been taken by the makers to make the character funny in his own way.

It has also been suggested that his character is highly inspired by the iconic actor Charlie Chaplin, who is known for his quirkiness in world cinema. Even from the poster of the film, one can easily spot how his character has been shaped to look in a way that looks just like Charlie Chaplin. “Ranveer Singh and the ones who are close to the actor are already going gaga about the film and the character,” an inside source added.

Earlier this year, Ranveer Singh himself urged the audience and asked them to watch the movie once it releases. “Jayeshbhai Jordaar!!! It’s a hilarious satire from a sensational new director and a stellar cast! Do watch!” While Ranveer is said to be playing a never-seen character in this satirical comedy, he stressed how he really enjoys being an actor as it allows him to adapt and live so many different lives.

“For me, the best thing about being an actor is that you can live so many lives and experience so much because each character that I choose to play is remarkably different from one another. When people saw Band Baaja Baaraat, they felt for the longest time that I was a boy who was born and brought up in Delhi. This has happened many times during the course of my 11-year career and that to me is the biggest compliment because I like to convince people that I can transform myself into anyone,” he said.
