Ranveer Singh Or Hrithik Roshan, Who Will Play Dev In Brahmastra 2?

After Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated cameo in Brahmastra, it is now believed that either Hrithik or Ranveer Singh will be seen in the second installment of the film as “Dev”. Apparently, there was an official announcement made by the makers at the end of Brahamstra’s first installment that the second part of the film will be featuring a new character named “Dev”.

The much-anticipated character, Dev will be the father of Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) and also the original wielder of Agni Astra. While a glimpse of Deepika Padukone’s look as the “Jalastra” was also unveiled in the film. And ever since the announcement, the netizens have been suggesting that the role of “Dev” should be played by none other than Ranveer Singh himself as he shares good chemistry with Deepika Padukone.

Hrithik Roshan Turns Down His Role Of “Dev” In Brahmastra

Meanwhile, earlier it was reported that Hrithik Roshan was offered the role of “Dev” in Brahmastra, however, the actor turned down the proposal. A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama, “Hrithik is already doing two high-on visual effects films – Krrish 4 and Ramayana. He felt, that doing Brahmastra 2 would mean too much of a time investment on another VFX-heavy film. This decade, he wants to do more films and he doesn’t want to end up spending the next 7 years on these 3 dream projects. He informed his thought to Ayan and Karan, and politely let go of the offer.”

So now the chances of Ranveer Singh playing the role of “Dev” in Brahamstra 2 are high, at least for the fans it seems that Ranveer will be their first preference as Dev.
