Ranveer Singh has taken the internet by storm as his upcoming film’s trailer has got people talking. Ranveer will be seen playing a Gujarati man in Yash Raj’s film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, which also features Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Shalini Pandey in the leading roles. It is a comedy-drama film that highlights the issue of female infanticide in a light-hearted manner.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar trailer was released on the 19th of April with a grand event in Mumbai. During the press conference, Ranveer was asked if he wants a baby boy or girl in real life. The actor, who was amused by this question, laughed and said, “It is my choice only.”
He further added, “Actually it is not my choice. There’s a dialogue in the trailer (of Jayeshbhai Jordaar) that when we go to the mandir, we don’t choose our prasad. Whatever is given, we take it. So, whatever God plans for me, it is bound to happen.”
Talking about the film, he said, “It is a comedy film. The rendition is comedy and you’ll go ROFL while watching the film, but the social themes like dowry, domestic violence or female infanticide will hopefully reach you and resonate with you through all the entertainment and laughter. You will get a message in the end.”
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is scheduled to be released theatrically on 13 May 2022.
Talking about his personal life, Ranveer married his long-time girlfriend Deepika Padukone in 2018. They recently starred together in the film ’83’ that was released in December 2021.
