Bollywood has been a tough place for outsiders who have no godfathers to push their careers. The testimonies of many actors have been a proof of this statement. Actor Randeep Hooda, who is also an outsider and has managed to make a powerful standing in the entertainment industry on the basis of his talent also feels that he and his work is not welcomed by people of the industry.
If you know, Randeep made his Hollywood debut last year alongside Chris Hemsworth in the Netflix film ‘Extraction’. The film was well-received by the audience and it even became one of the most-watched films on Netflix.
As the actor is celebrating one year of the film’s release, he was asked about how his colleagues from Bollywood reacted to his Hollywood debut. To this, he mentioned Bollywood’s cold reply, “Well I’m quite used to it. It does happen time and again, well that’s okay. Maybe they didn’t like my acting, my action maybe, that’s why they didn’t speak up.”
He further talked about how Bollywood stars congratulate and appreciate their friends from the industry when a teaser, trailer or film comes out, but no so thing happened with him. He said, “But yeah there is a lot of hoopla that happens you know amongst people within the industry which did not happen for this. But, hey maybe as I said before maybe you didn’t like my acting.”
