A few hours ago, the poster of Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie ‘Shamshera’ was leaked. Immediately after the news took over the internet it is reported that the theatrical trailer of the period drama ‘Shamshera’ will be released soon. Ranbir Kapoor, who had been off the big screen for four years is now set for back-to-back releases in 2022.
Shamshera Trailer Date Announced:
This year seems to be a box of happiness for Ranbir Kapoor. Starting from his wedding with love Alia Bhatt after 5 years of dating to announcing Brahmastra and now Shamshera. The rugged look of the actor in the poster has caught all the attention. Next surprising and happy news for his fans is that the trailer of Shamshera will be released on June 24.
The filming of the period drama was wrapped in September 2020. It was initially scheduled to release in 2020 or 2021 but due to the global pandemic (Covid-19) the movie was shelved and the release got postponed. However, Shamshera featuring Ranbir Kapoor in a double role for the first time found its way to theaters.
A source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama that the trailer is expected to make its release next week. The source said, “Shamshera’s trailer will be unveiled on Friday, June 24. The film will release in theatres on July 22. Hence, it’ll be a nice 29-day promotional window that the producers, Yash Raj Films (YRF), are looking at.”
“Shamshera is touted to be a visual spectacle. Being a YRF venture, the producers have left no stone unturned in ensuring that the film looks grand in every way. This grandeur will also be reflected in the trailer,” the source continued.
The source added, “Ranbir has been away from cinemas for four years. Hence, there’s a lot of eagerness to see him back on the big screen. Shamshera will definitely be at an advantage due to his starry presence and hopefully, its success will also aid Brahmastra, which releases 1 ½ month after Shamshera, on September 9.”
Shamshera Release Date:
Shamshera is a period drama, and it stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt along with Ranbir Kapoor in pivotal roles. The movie is helmed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath (2012) and Brothers (2015) fame. Made at a budget of Rs 65 crores, the movie is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banners of Yash Raj Films. The much-awaited movie is slated to release on July 22, 2022.
