Ayan told Komal Nahta, “Truth is that Brahmastra is made with personal sacrifices. Yes, it is true that Ranbir did not take the price he charges for a film as a star for the making of Brahmastra. I think without this, we wouldn’t have been able to make this film. It is a very very big thing because it wouldn’t have been possible to make this film without that kind of support and I don’t know how many other people can do this,”.

Addressing the same, Ranbir said, “You asked if I charged anything or not, actually I did. This is an equity I have for life, I’m also part producer of the film. I am thinking more long term. I didn’t charge for part 1 but eventually the faith that I have about the amount that the film will make over three parts, that is beyond anything I’d get as an actor, price as an actor.”
