Ranbir Kapoor is Set to Start Filming for Animal Park by 2027

Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, currently enjoying the tremendous success of his recent films, Brahmastra and Animal, shared his thoughts on the follow-ups to both projects, and has officially announced that he will begin filming for Animal Park in 2027.

Ranbir, who is set to portray Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming adaptation of Ramayana, has confirmed his collaboration with his wife, actress Alia Bhatt, in the sequel to Brahmastra. During an interview with Deadline Hollywood at the ongoing Red Sea Festival in Jeddah, he discussed Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s project, Animal Park, and the timeline for its production. Ranbir indicated that filming for Animal Park will commence in 2027, as Sandeep is currently occupied with another film project.

Ranbir further mentioned that the director of Animal intends to create the film as a trilogy, with the second installment titled Animal Park. He stated, “We are looking to commence production on that film in 2027, which is still some time away. The director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has only hinted at his vision for the project. The plan is to develop it across three parts, with the second part named Animal Park. We have been exchanging ideas since the first film and discussing how we wish to progress the narrative.” Elaborating on his role in Animal Park, Ranbir Kapoor indicated that he will portray two distinct characters in the sequel.

This opportunity is particularly thrilling as I will portray both the antagonist and the protagonist. The project is highly engaging, led by a uniquely original director, and I am eager to contribute to it, he elaborated. Detailing the narrative progression, Ranbir clarified that at the conclusion of Part 1, the antagonist undergoes plastic surgery, resulting in a resemblance to the protagonist. This development will serve as the starting point for the second part.

Ranbir Kapoor has completed the filming of Ramayana Part 1. This project, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will showcase Sai Pallavi in the role of Sita Maa, while Yash will portray Raavan. Additionally, Ranbir is currently engaged in the production of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
