Pregnancy is said to bring people together. It is a moment of joy for every couple. Women face several physical and emotional issues during pregnancy but they embrace 9 months of hardship to bring a new life into the world. Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are soon going to embrace parenthood for the first time. The duo got married in May this year and they are all set to welcome their first child.
While they are waiting for the little munchkin to arrive, they are also eagerly awaiting the release of Brahmastra. Recently, during a live session on film promotion, Ranbir made an insensitive joke about Alia Bhatt’s weight gain due to pregnancy. Not only did it make Alia upset during the moment, but has also made netizens furious as the clip goes viral.
Ranbir jokes about Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy:
Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji were seen talking about the film and the interviewer asked why they are not promoting Brahmastra in the way they do for other movies. Alia replied, “We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailod (talking about widespread promotion) everywhere, right now our focus is…” Ranbir Kapoor immediately pointed at Alia Bhatt’s baby bump and said, “well I can say somebody has phailod (indicating her gaining weight). He immediately added that he meant the comment as a joke.
Alia looked furious while director Ayan also found this comment absurd. The video is now going viral on Reddit. People have slammed Ranbir Kapoor for his insensitive joke.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be seen together in the fantasy fiction film Brahmastra. It is their first film together. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji and will hit the screens on 9 September.
