Ranbir Kapoor is busy in the promotion of his forthcoming rom-com ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’. The actor visited Kolkata for the film’s promotional event, and at the press meet Ranbir confirmed that he is working on the biopic of late singer-actor Kishore Kumar. “Main 11 saal se Kishore Kumar ke biopic pe kaam kar raha hoon (I have been working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic for 11 years). We have been writing that with Anurag Basu and I’m hoping that it’s gonna be my next biopic”.
There have been rumors going around on social media and interent that Ranbir is also doing a biopic on cricketer Saurav Ganguly. But the Brahmastra actor immediately assured that these are just rumors as of now, and he has not been offered any such role.
‘I think dada (Sourav Ganguly) is a living legend not just in India, but around the world. A biopic on him will be very special. But maine abhi tak dada k upar jo biopic ban rahi hai uske baare mein kuch suna nahi hai (But so far I haven’t heard anything about the biopic being made on dada). So, I don’t know Unfortunately, mujhe yeh film offer nahi huyi hai (I have not been offered this film). I think the makers at Luv Films are still writing the script.”, he confirmed at the press meet.

Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy promoting Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. It stars him alongside Shraddha Kapoor. Helmed by Luv Ranjan, the film is set to hit theatres on March 8, 2023. He also has Sandeep Reddy’s Animal in the pipeline alongside Rashmika Mandanna.
