Ranbir Kapoor is on a movie spree with Shamshera, Brahmastra, and Luv Ranjan’s next while Hrithik Roshan is busy shooting Fighter. Amid their busy schedules, Ranbir and Hrithik have joined hands to work together on Nitesh Tiwari’s next film. The two Bollywood superstars are expected to share screen space in the much-awaited film Ramayana.
The mythological epic film will be helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, which increases the expectations of the audience. If sources are to be believed the Sanju actor will play the role of Lord Ram whereas handsome hunk Hrithik will get in the character of Raavan. However, there is no official announcement nor any update on the role of Sita but the casting of the female is underway.
According to sources, “Ramayana is among the biggest Indian films of all time, and the makers have pulled off a casting coup by signing two of the biggest millennial stars – Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor. Both the actors have agreed in principle to be a part of this film and have tentatively blocked their calenders from mid-next year for Ramayana.”
The source added: “The paperwork still remains and the same is expected to be done once Nitesh Tiwari gives a final narration of his Ramayana Rendition. It will be a high on VFX story, staying true to the roots of Ramayana,” the source told us.”
The movie is expected to go on floors next year in 2023. An official announcement of the project will be made this Diwali with the star cast and shoot schedule. Ramayana is expected to be made at a whopping budget with high-octane VFX in Indian cinema.
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan is set for the release of his upcoming movie Vikram Vedha. The Krish star who was last seen in War will feature with Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte. The neo-noir action thriller film is slated to release on 30th September 2022. Written and directed by Pushkar-Gayathri the film is a remake of the 2017 Tamil Film. Hrithik is also working on Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for Shamshera release with Sanjay Dutt. he is also set for another release which is a magnum opus Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Naga Chaitanya too. The Rockstar actor has Luv Ranjan’s untitled film and Animal with Rashmika Mandanna in the pipeline.
