Actor Rajpal Yadav is one of the versatile actors in the Bollywood industry. The actor is especially known for his comedy timing and on-point expressions. Rajpal has been away from the limelight for a while and he is all set to make his comeback with Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2. However, his life has been a roller-coaster for the past few years. For the unknown, Rajpal Yadav had to serve a three-month jail term back in November 2018.
The reason behind Rajpal Yadav serving a three-month jail term was in regard to a loan default case. The actor made his directorial debut with the 2010 film Ata Pata Laapata.
For the same, he alongside his wife Radha took a loan of Rs 5 crores. However, the film didn’t do well at the Box Office and Rajpal wasn’t able to repay the loan amount.
Later on, the Delhi-based businessman, MG Agarwal decided to take a legal route to recover the money. Following the legal action, Rajpal Yadav had to serve 3-month civil imprisonment in November 2018.
Recently, in his interview with Times Now, Rajpal Yadav candidly spoke about his experience of the jail term. The actor said, “For the past 15 years, I have not said anything in my defence. I don’t think negatively. I don’t know, who is negative or positive. But I know my work and where there is work, there is karma.”
The Chup Chup Ke actor placed emphasis on the fact that the audiences still love him and that is what matters to him. Yadav is looking forward and doesn’t want to carry the burden of his past.
On the work front, apart from Hungama 2, Rajpal Yadav also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in his kitty. The film stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. The film is a sequel to the 2007 film starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.
