The 2018 Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Badhaai Ho’ was lauded by the audience. The film received good reviews from the audience as well as from the critics. Now the reports state that the sequel of Badhaai Ho is on the cards for the filmmakers. It is further believed that Rajkummar Rao is likely to replace Ayushmann Khurrana as a lead with a new director on the chair.
According to the sources, the 2018 film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanaya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, and Gajraj Rao which was helmed by Amit Sharma will now have its sequel directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni.
Talking about Harshvardhan Kulkarni, the director has previously directed the 2015 film Hunterrr. The film stared Gulshan Devaiah, Radhika Apte, and Sai Tamhankar.
More details about the sequel of Badhaai Ho are not out yet but the news of Rajkummar Rao replacing Ayushmann Khurrana is pretty much confirmed.
Going back in the times, the 2018 Badhaai Ho had its plot revolve around late pregnancy and how society looks at it as a taboo. The film was not only successful at the Box Office but also won a national award for its unique concept.
