Owing to the on-going coronavirus pandemic, many filmmakers are taking the OTT route to release their films. Even after the Central Government’s permission to re-open the theatres, many of them are choosing the digital medium. Now, the new venture to join the list is Anurag Basu helmed Ludo and it releases on Netflix. The makers of Ludo have announced the release date.
Ludo featuring Rajkummar Rao and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the main leads will release on Netflix on November 19, 2020.
The film is a dark anthology with a doss of comedy. The plot of the film revolves around four people who live in the metro city. The story of the film takes us on the ride of these 4 lives intersect and happens next when they meet.
The trailer of Ludo will drop on October 19, 2020, a month before its release date. Anurag Basu is the director of the film and it is being presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions.
The production unit of the film consists of Bhushan Kumar, Anurag Basu, Divya Khosla Kumar among others.
Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Fatima Sana Shaikh the film also has many other big names. The multi-starrer consists of Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, and Pankaj Tripathi.
The film’s initial release date of Ludo was April 24, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the makers had to indefinitely push forward the release date of the movie.
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao will reportedly star in the sequel of the 2018 super hit film Badhaai Ho. He also has Chhalaang and Roohi Afzana in his kitty.
Speaking of Fatima Sana Shaikh, she will be next seen in Sooraj Pe Mangal Bhari. The film features Diljit Dosanjh opposite Fatima.
