Rajkummar Rao who has entertained us with his credible acting skills is back with yet another film titled, ‘Chhalaang’. The film which was formerly titled as Turram Khan also features Nushrat Bharucha in the lead role.
On Rajkumar Rao’s birthday in August, director Hansal Mehta took announced the release date of the film as 31st January 2020. Mehta wrote, “Special people, a special film and a special day. Here’s wishing our very own @RajkumarRao a very Happy Birthday and a special surprise. Our next film together @TurramKhan will release on January 31, 2020. @NushratBharucha.”
Later on, in the month of December, Nushrat announced the new name of this film. She wrote, “Same team, same movie, same release date… just a name change- Chhalaang! See you in theatres on 31st January 2020!”
Finally today, the filmmakers have released the first poster of the film. In this poster, we can see Rajkumar Rao sleeping on a chair wearing a tracksuit with his head resting on a football while Nushrat can be seen standing along with young boys and girls starring at him. Some kinds are seen laughing while some along with Nushrat are looking at Rajkumar in anger. The poster is captioned as, “Lambi #Chhalaang Ke Liye, Lambi Neend Zaroori Hai! Releasing on 13th March.” The poster hints that the release date of Chhalaang has been changed from 31st January to the above mentioned date in March.
Chhalaang is going to be a social black comedy film directed by Hansal Mehta. The plot of this film is said to be set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. This film is produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg.
Along with Rajkumar and Nushrat, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub will also, play a pivotal role in this film.
