Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhai Do completed one year anniversary today on February 11. To celebrate this one years anniversary, makers Junglee Pictures have revealed a new deleted scene from the film that is both hilarious and confusing.
Sharing the deleted scene on Twitter, makers wrote, “Anniversary hai toh gift toh banta hai. Humara nahin toh aapka hi sahi. ? Here’s a small gift for you on #1YearOfBadhaaiDo✨BadhaaiDo deleted scene.
The three minutes long scene sees Shardul (Rajkummar Rao), running away and then hiding in a neighbour’s toilet from his wife Suman (Bhumi Pednekar). The scene is quite funny but also bit confusing as it’s difficult to figure out where it was placed in the screenplay.
Written and directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, Badhaai Do is a comedy drama about Shardul, a gay guy, and Suman, a lesbian woman, who decide to get married to appease their families and relatives. They are living as a roommates, however, their lives become even more complex when Suman’s girlfriend also moves in with them.
Although film received positive reviews it was a box office failure and ended up earning only Rs. 28 crores. Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar will be again seen sharing screen Anubhav’s Sinha’s social drama ‘Bheed’. The film is slated to arrive in cinemas on 24 March 2023. Set during the events of the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in India, the film also stars Dia Mirza, Ashutosh Rana and Pankaj Kapur in pivotal roles.
