Rajit Brought In Diwali 2020 Festivities With Lights, Music And Sweets

Best known for his ace choreography with Nora Fatehi in Pachtaoge female version (2020), Rajit Dev brought in Diwali 2020 festivities with lights, music and sweets.

Rajit Dev started his career as the background dancer from Ranveer Singh’s 2012 film “Ladies Vs Ricky Behl” hit song Dum Dum Dum Mast Hai and since then he has never really looked back. He works as the chief choreographer with versatile and agile Bollywood choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant in commercially successful and critically acclaimed YRF Film’s banner movies like Dhoom 3 (2013), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), and Ek Tha Tiger (2012). In this Diwali 2020, while some felt sad and upset about not ringing in the festive season of joy with their friends, But Rajit brought in Diwali 2020 festivities with lights, music and sweets.

Unlike other celebrities Rajit has always celebrated Diwali with joy each year and in this year too, Rajit brought in Diwali 2020 festivities with lights, music and sweets.

Rajit Dev is a busy guy. From directing “Pachtaoge” female version with Nora Fatehi, to choreographing “Tehas nehas” for Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday starrer “Khaali Peeli”, and then a commercial for Ranveer Singh, work has kept him occupied. So while the entire country is worrying about celebrating a low-key Diwali this year, the ace choreographer says the festival has always been about lights, music and sweets for him.

However, he did mentioned about going to meet his selected couple of friends with whom he has recently been in contact with.

During a recent interview, when asked about how does he plan to celebrate Diwali, he said, “I never believed in having a grand celebration for any festival. I honestly believe that God looks at your dedication and devotion and not the glitz and grandeur with which you celebrate a festival. Lots of light, music and sweets, this is my usual Diwali, and COVID, no COVID, it will be the same”.

Furthermore when asked about Diwali decorations in his house, he added, “I have decorated my house with lights, I will do puja on the day of Diwali, have lots of sweets and dance. I will meet just a couple of my friends I have been in touch with recently. And the others I will be wishing on video calls or normal calls. I have bought some beautiful plants that I am going to gift them. And that will be it, it’s always been like that, so I was not stressing over how I will celebrate Diwali”.

When asked about whether he would burst crackers or not, he said, “I won’t lie, I used to burn crackers as a kid, but when I realised how it harms the environment, I have not burnt a single cracker since then. It’s been around 10-12 years now. And I am happy that I am contributing something for a healthy environment”.
