Veteran and iconic B town stars Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar’s ancestral homes in Peshawar (Pakistan) have been in headlines from quite sometime now and now in a monumental move off late, Raj and Dilip’s ancestral homes in Peshawar turned into museums.
Also earlier whilst it was reported about how the owner of Dilip Kumar’s ancestral home has demanded Rs. 25 crores for the property and Raj Kapoor’s ancestral Kapoor Haveli owner has demanded 200 crores but now latest twist in tale here is that Raj and Dilip’s ancestral homes in Peshawar turned into museums.
According to latest news reports by a leading indian TV news channel now, Raj and Dilip’s ancestral homes in Peshawar turned into museums.

Not only this, but the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of Pakistan has enacted a totally new law in order to purchase both these houses.
The report also clearly stated the fact about how the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has already kick started the entire legal procedure in order to buy both these ancestral houses of iconic Bollywood legends Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar which are situated in Peshawar and its true that the government has already applied an important section of the land acquisition act 1894 of the state which gives complete permission and green signal to government authorities to take the legal possession of both these houses on an emergency and immediate basis.
Interestingly, the report also says that the monetary amount of both these havelis would be released to the Deputy Commissioner who would be making the payment to both the landowners.
According to the report, also the archaeological department of Pakistan has determined and fixed the price of Rs. 80.56 lakh (US $50, 517) for Dilip Kumar’s four marlas (101 square metres) home and for Raj Kapoor’s six marlas house (151.75 square metres), Rs. 1.50 crores (US $ 94, 061).
Meanwhile, Raj Kapoor’s paternal house known as Kapoor Haveli is situated in the Qissa Khwani Bazar which was made between 1918 and 1922 by his father Prithviraj Kapoor and also these two homes of both Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar are located near the 2000 years old market. Reports also state about how global superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ancestral home is also situated somewhere close itself but his paternal family still lives there.
