Brahmastra: Breaking the dry spell in the Hindi industry, Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra has emerged as a massive success at the box office. Despite boycott calls and protests Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra has now officially become a huge box office success. Commenting on the same, Chup director R Balki recently shared his take on Brahmastra box office success here’s what he said-
R Balki Addresses Brahmastra Box Office Success
Bollywood filmmaker R Balki is currently gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated film, Chup: Revenge of the Artist, which will be featuring Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, Dulquer Salmaan, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead role. While during the promotions of the film the Bollywood director was asked to share his take on if the theory ‘Bollywood is over’ was true.
Responding to the same, the Bollywood director mentioned the stupendous box office success of Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra and told IndianExpress, “It (the idea that Bollywood is over) is rubbish! It is a lovely theory to have, few flops flopped, and people love to write, fill columns and feed. It is entertainment and failures are also entertainment. When success happens, they will have entertainment again and say, ‘The rise and rise of Bollywood’, which will happen very soon”.
The Bollywood filmmaker further mentioned that the dry spell in the Hindi industry was just a “phase” and will soon be over, he said, “Films flop, films don’t do well, it is a phase. That happens due to various reasons, but this won’t last for too long. As you are already seeing, people are storming the theatres (for Brahmastra). So, it will change. This is just another show,”
Brahmastra Box Office Success
Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra was undoubtedly one of the most hyped and much-anticipated films of the year. With almost 10 years spent in the making, the film has now finally been released in the theatres. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra has whopped impressive figures at the box office since its release. Brahmastra has already entered the 100cr club with its weekend collection and now the film has successfully managed to enter the 150cr club as well.
About R Balki’s Film Chup: Revenge of the Artist
Chup: Revenge of the Artist is one of the aspiring projects of the ace director R Balki. The release date of the psychological thriller was announced recently. The much-awaited edge-of-the-seat thriller will release on 23rd September 2022. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead roles. It marks the Bollywood return of south cinema superstar Dalquer to Hindi movies after The Zoya Factor. Sunny Deol and Pooja Bhatt will make a comeback to films after Blank and Sadak 2 respectively.
