In the latest promo video that’s made its way to the internet, we can see how Priyanka shares her views on religion, secularism and children being raised in different cultures and in this conversation, Oprah recalling her time in India specially mentioned about spiritual energy along with the sense of connectedness between people and prayer which is so much omnipresent. Then finally Oprah asked Priyanka about her spiritual foundation whilst growing up and on this Priyanka said, “Yeah I did. I think in India its hard not to. You are right as with so many swirling number of religions living in the country that we have, I grew up in a convent school and was aware of Christianity, my dad used to sing in a mosque so I was aware of Islam as well, I grew up in a Hindu family so I was aware of Hinduism too which is why spirituality is such a large part of India that you can’t ignore it but also, my family believed in having a higher power and sense of faith”.

Continuing on same point, Priyanka also added, “This is something again that my dad used to tell me, which was something like, ‘Religion is all a way to get to supreme power and every religion has a different face to the same direction where we’re going’. Which means its all pointing towards one direction and whatever your face or version of that is, it’s just a means to an end and so I did grow in this way. I am a Hindu and I pray. I have a temple in my home and I do it as often as I can but at the same time, to myself I feel I am more spiritual believer of the fact that a higher power does exist and I like to have faith in that”.
