Priyanka Chopra reveals her family is kind of a mad cricket-loving family

Priyanka Chopra Jonas in her recent interview admitted her love for cricket and she also recalled how on her wedding day Team Bride and Team Groom played a cricket match. Here's what she has to say

Priyanka Chopra Jonas who is on a promotion spree for her upcoming movie The Sky Is Pink, revealed how she is a big fan of cricket and also revealed that she comes from a family that is kind of a mad cricket-loving family. She said, “My father used to love cricket. So, whenever there was a tournament, we would watch it together. If I used to get up from my seat during the match, and an Indian player hit a six, I was made to keep standing for some time. Cricket was a big thing at my place. My uncle has played Ranji cricket so it’s kind of a mad cricket-loving family.” 

Priyanka who made an appearance on Star Sports’ Cricket Live also spoke about her wedding day and recalled the coolest way the bride and groom’s family spent time together, Team Bride and Team Groom played a cricket match. She said, “My cousins are cricket fans, so during my wedding as well, we played cricket by dividing everyone into Team Bride and Team Groom. Nick is a great baseball player, but the two sports are different, so obviously, Team Bride won the match!”

On the work front, Priyanka will be seen in Shonali Bose’s “The Sky Is Pink” and it has been quite a wait for her fans as this will be her first Hindi film since 2016. The Sky is Pink also features Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. The film tells the story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary’s parents, Aditi and Niren and their journey after Aisha was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and died in 2015. The Sky Is Pink will hit theatres on  October 11 2019.
