Bollywood’s ‘desi girl’ Priyanka Chopra gives as much love to her family as she loves her work. Priyanka always seems to be spending time with family during work breaks. Through an Instagram post, Priyanka has once again proved how much she loved her close one’s. The actress recently took to her Instagram and shared a picture of her grandmother remembering her on her birthday.
Priyanka shared a photo on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, 8 May, in which her maternal grandmother can be seen reading a newspaper. In that paper, she is reading an article about Priyanka. Priyanka captioned it, ‘Happy Birthday Nani. Miss you always,’ with a red heart emoji. Priyanka had previously said after her grandmother’s death that she believes she will always be there with her. The actress had said, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Madhu Jyotsna Akhouri, our beloved mother and grandmother, freedom fighter, social activist, MLA, amongst other things. She was an amazing woman who lived a full life, filled with purpose and love…Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.”
Priyanka recently shared childhood photos with her maternal grandmother and her mother Madhu Chopra and told how her ‘Nani’ helped her mother to raise her. In one of the photos, Priyanka is seen eating food. She captioned the post, “All 6 are celebrating my grandmother’s birthday. He helped me with my upbringing while my mother and father pursued their studies and medical careers. She was a very important part of my upbringing. I feel very lucky that I had such strong people in my life.”
On the personal front, the actress recently welcomed her firstborn, Malti Marie Jonas. While on the work front, the actress was recently seen in Matrix Ressurectiions and is currently gearing up for Citadel, and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
