Currently, the actress is about to be seen in a Bollywood project but the actress is in buzz for her praise of Joyland; which is a Pakistani movie being nominated in Oscars 2023 for Best Foreign Film.

Joyland, the Pakistani film has created a huge fan following and one fan is recently added. Actress Priyanka Chopra took her social media handle today and posted, calling it a must-watch.
Priyanka Chopra posted Instagram stories today morning, sharing a video of the film’s trailer. The actress wrote, “#Joyland is truly a joy to watch. Bravo to the entire team for bringing this story to life. It’s a must-watch.” She tagged the whole team for such a huge success.

Joyland follows a patriarchal family longing for the birth of a baby boy to continue the family line. The youngest son of the family, the protagonist, secretly joins a lap dance theater and falls in love with a trans woman. The film is directed by Saim Sadiq. Debut. The film features a cast of Sania Saeed, Ali Junejo, and other cast members. It was released in Pakistan in November after a brief ban that was later lifted.
But Priyanka Chopra is not only vouching for this movie but also for other South Asian movies. She also praised a Gujarati film Chhello Show at her Los Angeles residence. The Chhello Show, directed by Pan Nalin, is India’s official entry to the Oscars. Like Joyland, it is also on the Oscar nomination list. Final nominations will be announced next week and awards will be presented in March. If nominated, Joyland will be the first Pakistani film to receive an Oscar nomination.
Three Indian films have been nominated in the Foreign Films category at the prestigious awards: Mother India, Salaam Bombay, and Lagaan.
