Prem Chopra is hale and hearty but sad to hear his death rumours

The news of veteran actor Prem Chopra’s death has been making rounds. It went viral on social media and spread like a fire in a forest. The actor bashed the news calling them rumors. While many actors have been victims of death rumours, this time Prem Chopra became a target. 

The legendary actor came forward to address the fake news surrounding his demise. He was upset to hear such news about him calling it sadism. Chopra mentioned that he is absolutely hale and hearty amid his death gossip creating a buzz. In an interview, he spoke about his death hoax and revealed that he has been receiving concerned calls from his friends and near ones. 

Prem Chopra received a call from his industry friend Rakesh Roshan this morning asking about his well-being. Rakesh Roshan chose to call him directly to confirm the news after learning about it in the morning. Mr. Chopra received ample calls since morning and then he dismissed all the rumours surrounding his death through an interview with ETimes. 

The famous Bollywood actor sternly replied to those creating such deception about him. He said, “This is sadism, what else! Somebody is deriving sadistic pleasure in wrongly informing people that I am no more. But here I am, talking to you, absolutely hale and hearty.”

He added, “I don’t know how many calls of this nature I have received since morning. Rakesh Roshan called me. Amod Mehra called. I wonder who did this to me. Also, I must tell you that someone did a similar thing with Jeetendra, my close friend. That happened about four months ago. This needs to stop- and immediately.”

Trade analyst Amod Mehra also updated the news on his Twitter account. He wrote, “All those who are getting morbid pleasure in declaring my brother Shri Prem Chopra as dead, please note, I just spoke to him and he is hale and hearty. Sir, Jug Jug Jeeo… meri umar bhi aap ko lag jaye (May you live a long life. May my life be added to yours). Jai Mata Di.”

Prem Chopra and his wife Uma Chopra were tested coronavirus positive in January. The couple was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, however, they were discharged a few days back.
