Even since the release of Abhishek Bachchan’s film ‘The Big Bull’, people have been comparing it with the web-series ‘Scam 1992’ that came out last year. Also, Abhishek Bachchan’s performance is being compared to Pratik Gandhi’s who became an overnight star last year as the web-series was an instant hit.
And the reason behind this comparison is that both of the projects are based on the big stock market scam by Harshad Mehta. Pratik Gandhi feels that this comparison is irrational. In a recent interview, he said, “There can’t be competition between actors. Had it been products, there would have been competition. If I was a biscuit or a soap, there would be competition.”
He further added, “I am a human being. How can two people, looking so different and having distinct types of acting, be compared? I don’t take the pressure that your next thing has to be bigger than the previous one.”
On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan also knew that the comparisons would be made and he embraces it as well. He acknowledges that Pratik Gandhi has done a fabulous job in Scam 1992 and also thanks people who have watched his film ‘The Big Bull’.
