Prakash Raj Trolled For Tweeting Against Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’

Actor and filmmaker Prakash Raj is receiving flak on social media for tweeting against Vivek Agnihotri after the box office success of ‘The Kashmir Files’. Prakash Raj, best known for playing antagonist in films, is also a recipient of the National Award. He took to his Twitter and posted an image that depicts major events from the past. Without mentioning Vivek Agnihotri, he wrote, “Dear supreme Actor turned Producer.. will you arm twist these files too .. and release them #justasking – Godhra Files, Delhi Files, GST Files, Demonetization Files, Covid Files, Ganga Files.”

His tweet invited criticism from people on the Internet.

A user wrote, “shame on you mr.prakash Raj, i always admired you as a actor,but instead of supporting kashmiri pandit you started politics here.”

A man wrote, “Dear actor turned Librandu, all these files r already in public domain for years.There’s nothing secret about it. The need of The Kashmir Files arose bcoz the heinous incident was suppressed &hidden for years. Also the culprits went unpunished till date unlike all ur bloody files.”

Another user said to Prakash Raj, “Why don’t you give a try? What’s the point of mentioning so many things in your bio as Actor, director, producer television, representer, politician when you can’t contribute to the society instead asking others to do so.”

Prakash Raj had also questioned the motives and consequences of ‘The Kashmir Files’ in another tweet. Sharing a video from a theatre, Prakash wrote, “#kashmirifiles this propaganda film … is it healing wounds or sowing seeds of hatred and inflicting wounds #Justasking”

The Kashmir Files is directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and was released in theatres on 11th March.
