Well known critically acclaimed film director Prakash Jha who is known for socio political drama films like Aarakshan (2011) and Raajneeti (2010), slams Karni Sena for targeting his webseries Aashram 2.

But we all know just how much controversy loving is Karni Sena who lands themselves in some sort of dispute each time they decide to ban or boycott films or series giving one reason or other. After trying their tooth and nail to ban 2018 film Padmaavat, it still got released and was a hugely superhit successful film, now this time they tried their best to stop Ashram season 2 from streaming on MX player citing it has hurt their religious sentiments and is showing their Hindu religion in a bad light. They even sent a long notice to director for the same but now Prakash Jha slams Karni Sena for targeting his webseries Aashram 2.

Where people love being embroiled in social media wars and indirectly get their names dragged in controversies, this tide is seen changing for good as Prakash Jha slams Karni Sena for targeting his webseries Aashram 2.

Now, Aashram chapter 2 is going to be released and streamed on the popular OTT streaming platform MX player, and 5 days before its release and premiere, Karni Sena is trying their best to ban it from airing digitally but now Prakash Jha slams Karni Sena for targeting his webseries Aashram 2.

Ace bollywood film director Prakash Jha who is known to give us masterpiece bollywood films like Gangajal (2003), Apaharan (2005), Raajneeti (2010) along with making his official digital debut with the hit webseries Aashram that streamed on the popular OTT streaming platform Mx Player in 2020 which had the Housefull 4 (2019) fame actor Bobby Deol in leading role of a fraudulent corrupt god man where with this series Bobby Deol proved himself yet again as a commercially viable bollywood star and is back with a bang.

Their letter to Prakash Jha clearly stated, “The said web series have deeply hurt the sentiments of the people at large and it is also going to spread negative goodwill about Hindu religion on future generations to come”.

When a leading digital entertainment portal reached out to director and producer Prakash Jha for his honest reaction and take on Karni Sena’s strong demand for banning the season 2 of much loved digitally hit and critically acclaimed webseries Ashram, Giving a scathing reply for same he said, “Who am I to make a judgment on their demand? We had 400 million-plus views for the first season. I think viewers are the best placed to decide on ‘negative goodwill’. Shall we  leave it to them?”

Ashram Season 2’s recent trailer was dropped on 29th October 2020 which is all set to again hit the digital OTT screens of MX Player streaming platform on 11th November 2020 and has an ensemble star cast of Aaditi Pohankar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Darshan Kumaar, Anupriya Goenka, and Adhyayan Suman in key important roles with yet again Bobby Deol playing the lead role of the shrewd and cunning god man.
