“Bahubali” star Prabhas recently appeared on the silver screen almost after a break of 3 years, his last movie “Saaho” opposite Shraddha Kapoor didn’t quite stand up to the expectations of their fans. The movie also witnessed a very lukewarm response at the box office, as opposed to the hype that the movie created. While the expectations were riding high this time too, since its release, “Radhe Shyam” is said to have received the same lukewarm response from fans. The highly anticipated film of 2022 however isn’t doing that well in the theaters so far.
Irrespective of the plot and storyline of the movie, and of course the great cast, the action thriller movie has been proving to come across as a flop movie indeed. Critics suggest that the move will struggle to even match up to what Saaho was able to achieve in just one day. Clearly, all of this isn’t great news for all the Prabhas fans out there, the movie started with a disastrous start even on the weekend. With just a 9 crores collection on the weekend, not much of the scenario is going to change for the movie on the weekdays as well.
But fret not, if you’re a Prabhas fan, there are more such blockbusters that await for you this year. The next big thing for the “Mirchi” fame star is “Adipurush” starring Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan with the action star, with a whopping budget of 500 crores. The release date of the movie, although tentative, is roughly slated for the first month of next year. Adipurush, as the name of the movie, goes by, is a Hindu epic drama based on the concept of ‘victory of good over evil’. The movie is said to be based on Valmiki’s “Ramayan”. Prabhas, Kriti, Saif are said to portray the roles of Ram, Sita, and Lankesh respectively in the film. Not just that, the film is also said to be the biggest film ever made in the history of Indian cinema, a movie being shot in both Hindi and Telugu language and dubbed versions of Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada will be released nationwide.
Another big-budget film, a sci-fi project, Project-K is in the making too. Here Prabhas can be seen sharing the screen with Big B Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. This movie too, awaits release next year, in 2023. After the shoot of Project- K, the actor will soon start shooting for his 25th film, directed by Kabir Singh fae, Sandeep Reddy Vanga titled “Spirit”. Other movies like “Salaar” and “Maruti”’s Next are also on the cards.
