The trailer of the much-awaited film Liger has been released today. The trailer launch was held in Hyderabad and Mumbai. The sports action drama stars Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda in the lead. The movie is the story of a Mumbai slumdog boy who aims to become a boxer. The Telugu star plays a titular role in the rags to riches story of the MMA champion.
The trailer of the upcoming film promises a full-on masala sports entertainer. The movie marks the debut of Vijay in Bollywood. Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh and co-produced by Karan Johar. The movie is slated to release on 25th August 2022.
Vijay is seen delivering some knock-out punches, while Ananya Panday raises the oomph meter with her hot chick look. Vijay Deverakonda will face Mike Tyson in the high-octane action film which is also an emotional rollercoaster of romance and drama.
Vijay Deverakonda uploaded the Liger trailer on his Twitter handle after it was released. He captioned 2mins video: “India, We give you Blood, Sweat, Madness. We give you Mass Action Entertainment. We give you The LIGER Trailer! ATTACK! Aug 25th Worldwide Release!”
Celebrities from South and Bollywood reacted to the Liger trailer sending their warm regards to the team. Bahubali star Prabhas shared the poster on his Instagram story. He wrote: “Darling Puri Jagannadh garu and his Mass Action Entertainers are a match made in heaven! This one looks super solid and @thedeverakonda is terrific. Elated to share the Telugu Liger Trailer.” He further added, “Best Wishes to the entire Liger team, looking forward to the action on begin screens on Aug 25th.” Reposting the story Vijay Deverkonda wrote, “Prabhas Annaaaaa (heart emoji) Thank You so much biggest hugs.
Dalquer Salmaan also took to his Instagram story to share his review of the Liger trailer. He wrote: “Whattt!!! Chief this is Insane!! All the best team Liger! Check out the Malayalam trailer guys.”
Ranveer Singh sent best wishes to the team by sharing the poster on his Instagram story. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi also tweeted: “And here goes the Liger Trailer Puri Strikes Again! Raising expectations sky high.. All The Very Best to Entire Team!”
