Actress Pooja Hegde recently attended an event hosted by CURE Foundation. This event was hosted to announce the 6th Biennial Cancer Crusaders Invitation Cup, a world-class golf tournament that will be held as a fund-raiser and awareness initiative to support children suffering from cancer.
Here in this event, Pooja Hegde donated Rs 2.5 lakh for two children suffering from cancer. Expressing her views on this generous act Pooja said, “I don’t think this is something that only actors or celebrities should do. It has to come from within.”
She further added that it is important to create and cultivate the habit and culture of giving back to society because you may never know whom you inspire in this process.
“I just wanted to do my bit, children are resilient and most children with cancer can be treated and not having money should not be something that stops that”, Pooja said.
She also said that she is hoping to do more of such acts that serve humanity. She believes in doing her bit and giving back to society as much as possible as a small act of love can go a long way. We just need to do as much as we can.
After this news went viral many people commended Pooja for this noble deed and she surely did earn a lot of respect from her fans and followers.
On the work front, Pooja was last seen in Housefull 4. Reports are making rounds that Pooja will be cast opposite Prabhas for a romantic movie.
