Actor Payal Ghosh along with her lawyer Nitin Satpute visited Raj Bhavan in Mumbai to meet Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Payal has accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of raping her seven years ago.
After her visit, she wrote a tweet that read, “Had a great meeting with honorable @maha_governor Shri @BSKoshyari Sir. He had supported me and we have to go all the way. The naysayers will be there but I will not stop, not stop and not stop. Bring it on!!”
She and her lawyer then addressed the media and answered a few questions. Payal alleged that the Bollywood mafia might hang her. And it’s not the first time that she has made such a statement. A few days ago, she wrote on her Instagram handle, “I have given an interview regarding the entire episode on Mr. Kashyap to a renowned portal and the next thing I get to know that they are seeking permission from Mr. Kashyap himself. India, if I am found hanging from the ceiling, remember this. I didn’t commit suicide. They have the narrative ready of depression and medication. #NotGoingDown #metoo”
Her lawyer told that he has requested Y-level security for the actor’s safety.
Political leader Ramdas Athawale too has stood in her support and said that his party will protest across the city if Mumbai Police doesn’t take an action within seven days.
