After breaking multiple box office records and setting new standards, Pathaan is expected to make his big OTT release with Shah Rukh Khan. On Wednesday, Siddharth Anand’s direction celebrated its 50th day in cinemas and is still showing across the country.
After earning over Rs 1000 crore, the film will soon be available on digital platforms. Released on January 25, Pathaan is the first blockbuster of 2023 to break the Rs 500 billion mark and even became the highest-grossing Hindi film, surpassing the record-holder Baahubali 2 (2017). So far the film has earned more than Rs 530 crore in India. After numerous records, it is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. According to media reports, Pathaan will premiere on Prime Video 56 days after its theatrical release.

According to Siddharth Anand’s recent interview, the OTT release may also contain additional features such as deleted scenes. While speaking to Galatta Plus, Siddharth revealed that Pathaan’s original scene will receive an extended version. In the film, Rubina (Deepika) asks Pathaan if he is a Muslim. It gives a brief explanation of his origins, followed by a reminiscence of his service in Afghanistan, where a family called him “Pathaan”.
In the interview, Siddharth added: “… The four of us edited the same belief system and the same movies that we grew up watching and believing in, but it’s possible you’re looking at that on the OTT version. (DNA)
