Following a lot of buzz around the much-awaited film Pathaan, the teaser of the actioner was finally released. The makers opted out to unveil the teaser on the 57th birthday of Shah Rukh Khan. Post the teaser release director Siddharth Anand spoke about the film and said this is just the beginning.
The action film bankrolled by Yash Raj Films stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role along with Deepika Padukone as the female lead and John Abraham playing the antagonist. The film is set to take up to the theaters during Republic day next year. Siddharth Anand who has directed the film commented on the hype around Pathaan.
Anand said, “The craze for a glimpse of Pathaan has been unprecedented. After a long, long time, there’s an insane buzz for a film that is genuine and organic. And it’s all due to the superstardom of this one man – Shah Rukh Khan. His fans and we are talking of millions of them, have been clamouring for just a peek at him and his film. And thus, there could be no better day to put out the teaser of Pathaan than SRK’s birthday.”
He further added, “For us, Pathaan is not just a film, it is an emotion, as we are aiming to make the biggest action spectacle with one of the all-time biggest on-screen icons that Indian cinema has ever seen. The teaser is just the beginning to deliver on that promise on the big screen on Jan 25, 2023!”
Pathaan is Aditya Chopra’s spy universe movie slated to release on 25th January 2023. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham along with Shah Rukh Khan. Salman Khan is said to play a cameo in the movie. Directed by Siddharth Anand the action drama is produced under the banners of Yash Raj Films.
