Pankaj Tripathi Unveils First Look Of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Biopic ‘Main Atal Hoon’

Pankaj Tripathi looks unrecognisable in a dhoti-kurta and a jacket which resemble the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Pankaj Tripathi unveiled the first look of his upcoming movie, Mai Atal Hoon. The Bollywood star is all set to star as the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The first look was revealed on the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Main Atal Hoon is all set to release in December 2023.

The Bollywood actor took to his social media and shared a series of photos of himself donning the former Prime Minister. Pankaj Tripathi looks unrecognisable in a dhoti-kurta and a jacket which resemble the former Prime Minister. Alongside the first-look pictures from his upcoming film, Pankaj Tripathi penned in the caption Hindi which translates to, “I know that it is necessary for me to work on my personality with restraint in order to make ‘Atal’ ji’s personality come true on screen.”

The actor added, “I have firm faith that I will be able to do justice to my new role with enthusiasm and morale.” He also shared a video clip introducing him as a PM, poet, statesman and gentleman. Alongside the video, the actor wrote, “I have got this opportunity to portray this rare personality on screen. I am emotional and grateful.”

Presented by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios, Main Atal Hoon is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan and Kamlesh Bhanushali. The upcoming movie is co-produced by Zeeshan Ahmad and Shivv Sharma. Meanwhile, Atal Bihari Vajpayyi biopic is written by Utkarsh Naithani and has music by Salim Sulaiman, with lyrics by Sameer. Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam has lent his voice to the film.

For the unversed, Main Atal Hoon revolves around the journey of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. He was an honourable leader of India and one of the co-founders and a senior leader of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). Vajpayee served as the prime minister of India for three terms. His first term was for only 13 days, however, he returned to the position in 1998, this time for 13 months. Vajpayee served the third and final time from 1999 to 2004 as the Prime Minister of India. Vajpayee passed away on 16 August 2018 at the age of 93.
