Pakistani Actor Accuses Shah Rukh Khan Of COPYING His Work In Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

Pakistani actor, Tauqeer Nasir accused Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar of plagiarism.

Tauqeer Nasir, a veteran actor in the Pakistani drama industry, has reportedly accused Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan of plagiarism, claiming Khan used his work in a film without crediting him. Nasir, who has also served as Director General of the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) and received several prestigious awards including Pride of Pakistan and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, expressed his disappointment over not being acknowledged for his contributions by Shah Rukh Khan.

During an interview on the YouTube channel “Zabardast With Wasi Shah” on Monday, Tauqeer Nasir disclosed that Shah Rukh Khan frequently admired his work and conveyed his regards to different individuals.

Accusing the Bollywood superstar of “Plagiarism” he said, “Shah Rukh Khan is a talented actor. But it’s disappointing to see the lack of recognition for my contribution from his side”. He added, “Shahrukh’s role in the film ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ was a direct copy of his character from the drama ‘Parwaaz’.

Nasir further added, “‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ was essentially based on the story of Parwaaz, written by the renowned author Mustansar Hussain Tarar. Shah Rukh Khan should have given due credit for his inspiration,”

Nasir also called out filmmaker Karan Johar for not acknowledging him and Mustansar Hussain Tarar for their inspirational contributions.

For the unversed, “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna,” is a romantic drama from 2006, that features Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, and Kirron Kher. The film delves into the complexities of marital infidelity and dysfunctional relationships.
