Over 3 Lac Fans Practiced Yoga With Shilpa Shetty Via Digital Platforms During Janta Curfew

Aiming to ease the rapidly increasing sense of panic Shilpa chose the day of the Janta Curfew in India to be able to reach out to maximum people.

Bollywood actress and yoga-&-fitness enthusiast, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, hosted a 40-minute LIVE immunity-boosting Yoga session via her Instagram, Facebook, and Helo pages. Leaving no stone unturned, for the first time, the LIVE Yoga session was streamed directly from her holistic wellness app, Shilpa Shetty App, for all its new and existing users.

With this eclectic mix of digital media platforms, she reached out to a regional as well as a global audience to teach them beneficial yoga asanas and breathing techniques to help them build a stronger immunity to fight the global medical emergency caused due to the gradual spread of the Coronavirus.

Aiming to ease the rapidly increasing sense of panic and to spread positivity in the midst of a widespread pandemic, Shilpa chose the day of the Janta Curfew in India to be able to reach out to maximum people.

Within these 40 minutes, she practiced a number of pranayamas and yoga asanas that work on strengthening the respiratory system of the human body, help increase stamina, aid digestion, and have a number of added benefits. Some of the asanas and pranayamas that she taught during the session post warming up the body were:

1. Yoga asanas like Padahastasana, Virabhadrasana, Gomukhasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, and Paschimottanasana.

2. Pranayamas like Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom, Surya Bhedana, Bhramari Pranayam, and Om Chanting.

This help strengthens the lungs, increase oxygen supply, and help build a stronger immune system. A much-needed combination to fight against the current pandemic, COVID-19.

Before she began the session, Shilpa made it a point to remind all the viewers to join Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide request at 5 pm, to thank and cheer for the healthcare, government, media, and other essential services’ professionals working on the field.

As Shilpa Shetty ended the session by doing the Om Chanting with her seven-year-old son, Viaan; she demonstrated the importance of involving kids and getting them started at a young age.

More than 3 lakh fans participated in the LIVE session with her on Facebook, Helo, Instagram, and the Shilpa Shetty App; of which over 75% were women participants. Fans from all over the country participated in the LIVE session during the ‘Janta Curfew’. The LIVE session also witnessed fans participating from overseas like the U.S.A, UK, Canada, Bangladesh, Kuwait, UAE, and several other countries.
