Not Kartik Aaryan But Varun Dhawan Was The First Choice For “Hera Pheri 3”

Firoz A Nadiadwala’s film Hera Pheri 3 is one of the much-anticipated projects. Akshay Kumar who was earlier expected to lead the film is now replaced by Kartik Aaryan. However, as per the latest reports, it is now revealed that before Kartik Aaryan the makers approached Bhediya actor Varun Dhawan to lead the film. The reports stated that Varun turned down the offer out of respect for actor Akshay Kumar.

Varun Dhawan Was The First Choice For “Hera Pheri 3”

A source told Bollywood Hungama, that Anand Pandit and Firoz Nadiadwala approached Varun for the franchise but even though the offer was tempting for Varun he still decided to turn down the offer since he didn’t want to use the not-so-good equation between Akshay and Firoz, to climb the ladder of stardom.

The source told the publication, “While the offer was very tempting, Varun didn’t want to jump into the franchise created by Akshay Kumar. He has tremendous respect for Akshay Kumar and didn’t want to use the not-so-good equation between Akshay and Firoz, to climb the ladder of stardom. Hera Pheri 3 is a sure-shot blockbuster, but Varun stepped out of the film out of respect for Akshay. His father, David Dhawan also felt the same,” 

Akshay Kumar Reveals Why He Left “Hera Pheri 3”

After getting replaced, Akshay Kumar finally opened up on why he left the franchise, he told Hindustan Times, “It (Hera Pheri) is a part of my life and my journey. I am very upset that I am not part of it but I am not happy with how things have shaped up, the creative aspects. So I just backed out. I am grateful to my fans. I saw ‘No Raju, No Hera Pheri’ on trend Twitter. As much as hurt they are, I am hurt too. It is a sad thing,”
