“With no godfather in the industry, I have hustled at many levels”, says choreographer Vivek Dadhich

Choreographer Vivek Dadhich who has worked with many A-listers talks about his struggles in the industry as an outsider.

Choreographer Vivek Dadhich has worked with many proficient personalities like M.S.Dhoni, Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Shaan, Shirley Sethia, Asim Riaz Aditi Singh Sharma and Clinton Cerejo for various ad shoots, music videos and YouTube collaborations.

When asked about his struggles while establishing himself as a dancer in the Bollywood industry, Vivek says, “There’s no shying away from the fact that struggles are inevitable, no matter which field you belong to. As a newcomer in the industry with no godfather, I have hustled at many levels from scratch. But in my case, my hustle had begun before making a full-fledged entry into the industry. Having hailed from an academic background, when I decided to quit my CA & CS journey, my parents were not fully convinced by the thought of me pursuing dancing as my career. It took me some time to persuade them but eventually they agreed to my decision without hesitation. I had kept my mind mentally strong so as to not let go of my dreams so easily.”

Adding to the same, he says, “Apart from this, I have faced many obstacles because of my financial strain. The most renowned dance institutes were demanding heavy fees but instead of learning from one institute, I chose to learn from various institutions and choreographers. I started off by taking dance classes for kids and later, I started training celebrities. Besides dance training, I have also started my Youtube channel with my dance partner Aakansha Tripathi, who is my wife now, which got us more digital fame and appreciation.”
