What’s happening? The recent threat call for Salman Khan has intensified concerns for Bollywood’s biggest stars, as both Salman and Shah Rukh Khan are now facing safety threats. Just a day after Mumbai’s Bandra Police received a shocking call for Shah Rukh Khan demanding ₹50 lakh, another call targeting Salman Khan came through a Mumbai traffic police control room late Thursday night. The caller referenced Salman and Lawrence Bishnoi, a gang leader previously linked to other threats against the actor.
This is the second threat call for Salman Khan in just a week of this month. Just a few days prior, a caller demanded ₹5 crore from Salman and insisted him to apologize at their temple. The Haveri Police in Karnataka have since detained Bhikha Ram, also known as Vikram, a 32-year-old man believed to be behind the initial threat. With both stars now receiving back-to-back threats, the issue has heightened concerns about their security.

In the latest call, the threat mentioned a song that allegedly involves both Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi. The caller hinted that the songwriter would “face severe consequences within a month,” even adding, “The songwriter’s condition will be such that he will no longer be able to write songs. If Salman Khan has the courage, he should try to save them”.
The threats against Salman trace back to his 1998 blackbuck poaching case during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999). For the Bishnoi community in Rajasthan, the blackbuck is sacred and this incident has fueled decades of anger. Recently, Salman Khan has been under tight security following the tragic death of politician Baba Siddique for which an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility. This figure reportedly warned that Salman was also a target.
