Kabir Khan’s 83’ has already created enough buzz amongst the public. The audience is in anticipation to re-live the historic win of the Indian cricket team in the Cricket World Cup win of 1983.
Ranveer Singh is all prepared to play the character of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, who was the captain of the Indian team when they lifted the Cricket World Cup. With many such fine actors in the film portraying the characters of various cricketers, it will be a delight for the cricket lovers and as well as for the movie-going audiences.
To add more hype to the film, Kabir Khan took on his Instagram to introduce Jatin Sarna as the explosive batsman Yashpal Sharma. Kabir Khan put up a poster in which one can see Jatin Sarna wearing the cricketing gear as he sways’ his bat to play Yashpal’s very own special “badam shot”.
Kabir Khan captioned the post by writing, “The fearless batsman who could single-handedly change the game for India. Presenting the next devil- #YashpalSharma! #ThisIs83.”
Jatin Sarna who rose to fame after portraying the character of Bunty in the “Sacred Games”, also won over the hearts of the audience with his absolute performance in Sonchiriya opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Given his commendable acting skills, fans will be elated to witness Jatin in his new avatar.
The film 83’ will also feature Saqib Salim as Mohinder Amarnath; Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, and Jiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth. These actors will also play a pivotal role in the movie alongside Ranveer Singh.
Talking about Yashpal Sharma, he was a middle-order batsman who was capable enough of turning a losing match into a winning one by his explosive batting skills. He was also a member of the Indian team that won 1983 Cricket World Cup.
