The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri recently became a target of trolls after the filmmaker tried to take a jibe at Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer song, “Besharam Rang” from film Pathaan. Criticizing the song the filmmaker shared a video in which a girl pointed at the element of “vulgarity” and “obscenity” in the song.
The video features a girl asking, “Why do you wear such provocative clothes and show such moves… you call this content?” The girl further blames the makers for promoting such content which leads to crime against women. She further adds, “Why do you do this? For money? What are these words you use for songs, the costumes you make celebs wear. Are you not ashamed?”
Sharing the video filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, “WARNING… video against Bollywood. Don’t watch it if you are a ‘secular'”. However, it seems that the post didn’t go down well with the audience and netizens. A segment of Twitterati slammed Vivek Agnihotri for his tweet claiming that he himself has made movies featuring women in vulgar and revealing clothing.
Reacting to the tweet a netizen shared an old interview video of Vivek Agnihotri in which the filmmaker was seen promoting his film “Hate Story” and stating that it’s not wrong to make erotica films. Sharing the video the Twitterati wrote, “Hello @vivekagnihotri, Remember? Warning: Don’t watch it if you are a hypocrite.”
Another user tweeted, “This cheap chapri Vivek is giving gyan to others. Pray for Vivek’s daughter guys.” Another wrote, “You have gone soo low in ur life that I doubt u could ever recover from this phase…irrelevant, shameless. Tujhe toh gaali dekr b gaali ki insult hogi.”

Boycott Pathaan’s “Besharam Rang” Controversy
For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathaan has been facing extreme backlash for its song “Besharam Rang”. Apparently, a segment of netizens have claimed that the song features “vulgar visuals”. Many politicians even expressed their discontent over the use of saffron color in Deepika Padukone’s outfits. Many people even demanded a ban on the film.
