The moment for what all of us have been waiting for is finally here, as Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone walked the Cannes red carpet in her most adorable saree look this year. While not only did she walk the red carpet this year but has also served as a member of the jury making her fans super proud of herself. The actress made her first red carpet appearance dressed in a black and golden sequence saree designed by Sabyasachi. Tieing her hair in a bun and accessorizes it with a golden hairband, completing her look with dark dramatic makeup, making it simply perfect.
Sharing her look on Instagram the actress wrote, “The sari is a story I will never stop telling.No matter where we are in the world, it has its place” said Sabyasachi Mukherjee…and I couldn’t agree more!”
Earlier in the day, at the opening ceremony, the actress wore a Sabyasachi ensemble as she paired a printed shirt with emerald green pants. She also wore a heavy assemblage of jewels to complete the look. Deepika Padukone’s stylist Shaleena Nathani revealed her look on her social media as she wrote, “Wearing clothing from Sabyasachi’s Tropic of Calcutta collection—the global resort series, where Indian heritage gets a contemporary update,”.

The actress was recently spotted at the jury’s dinner in a multi-colored sequin dress that she paired with brown high boots. She completed her look with curly hair and on-point make-up.
The Cannes, which will be held between May 16 to May 28, announced the jury a few weeks ago. The jury includes Vincent Lindon as a President, and competition members include Deepika Padukone, Asghar Farhadi, Noomi Rapace, Rebecca Hall, Trinca, Ladj Ly, Jeff Nichols, and Joachim Trier.
