It is difficult to find original music in Bollywood these days. While some songs are remade of old songs few are created on the roots of old music. In recent times, Jug Jugg Jeeyo’s dance number ‘The Punjaaban song’ is a remake of a Pakistani song Nach Punjaban. On the other hand, the Love Anthem Kesariya from Brahmastra is on the music of Hawayein and Laree Chootee. And now the new track Dhaago Se Baandhaa from Raksha Bandhan also reminds of an old Bollywood song.
Raksha Bandhan dropped its new track titled ‘Dhaago Se Baandhaa’. Fans were quick to connect Akshay Kumar’s fresh song with Salman Khan’s Tere Naam title track. Netizens claim that this new Bollywood song is inspired by another old hit. The music of the song reminds netizens of Salman’s Tere Naam. Well, the music composer of both songs is Himesh Reshammiya so it is considered that he chose to reuse his iconic hit.
Comments under the Youtube video reads: “This movie’s music is on a different level. I liked it. From 0:30 to 0:50, the signature tune made me think of the song Tere Naam. Himesh gets ideas from the music he has already made.” One user commented: “The first music I heard took me back to Tere Naam.” Another wrote, “Music Vibe in Tere Naam.”
Fans took to Twitter as well to bring the connection in notice of others. One user tweeted: “Listening to #RakshaBandhan song Dhaagon sa with Arijit. It has so much of Tere Naam vibe. I think it’s the first time Himesh and Arijit have worked together. A sad solo of this duo would be magical,” commented one user. While other wrote, “You are right bhai. Even starting tune bilkul Tere naam wale song ki hai if you have noticed, same string wala music.. himesh was also the music composer of tere naam..yaha ka waha chipka rahe hai himesh bhai.”
The emotional song Dhaago Se Baandhaa showcases the beautiful bond between Akshay and his sister. The song has been sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, and lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil.
Raksha Bandhan is picturized on siblings’ love, bond, and affection. It also emphasizes the social issue of dowry, along with an emotional segment movie is full of light-hearted comedy.
