The actor has been on the receiving end of the trolls, fans, twitteratis, audiences, and viewers where everyone after watching this trailer has decided to put up a united front and boycott his film and this is not just for telling, it has literally happened in real where all the netizens boycott Laxmmi Bomb citing themes of Love Jihad.

It’s interesting to see this trending hashtag #BoycottLaxxmiBomb on Twitter for the Khiladi of Bollywood’s film after a few days ago, when the controversial Tanishq ad that featured similar theme of Hindu Muslim was slammed by the netizens and few actors of Bollywood which created a lot of pressure on Tata owned Tanishq to remove the advertisement from TV channels and they finally erased the ad entirely and after that now is the second time when every user, fan and netizens boycott Laxmmi Bomb citing themes of Love Jihad.

From the trailer of the film, we are guessing that the story is about Kiara Advani (Priya) calling her family home for introducing them to her boyfriend Asif (Akshay Kumar) and so that they all can get impressed and convinced enough to let Kiara be married to him.

Asif does not believe in ghost and supernatural mythical crap at first but then suddenly one day he clearly announces and says that he will wear bangles the day he sees a haunting ghost.

Then we see in the trailer that how Laxmmi’s soul ends up entering within Akshay’s body which causes an entire situational horror comedy of sorts in the entire film where we would get to know why and from whom does this soul wants to take revenge.

Love Jihad is being promoted through this film.

Before the release of the trailer, to get people like his trailer and not bash the film like Sadak 2 in an accurately planned video as a part of PR strategy and publicity gimmick for Laxxmi Bomb, he put out a video on Twitter where after so many months he suddenly acknowledged that there is drugs problem in Bollywood but you can’t blame entire industry because of that and told media to not bash their industry and films after which everyone started trolling him on all social media platforms saying that suddenly how can he realize now and he also spoke up on SSR’s death which got him to face the rage and ire from netizens and viewers and then the trailer dropped on 9th October 2020 where the likes and dislikes of it were hidden by Youtube fearing that it could create another Sadak 2 of 2020 which the makers didn’t want.

Speaking about this film, Laxmmi Bomb is the official Hindi remake of the hit Tamil movie “Muni 2: Kanchana” (2011) which was made a few years back. Even back then this film had been directed by ace director Raghava Lawrence who is also the director in this film as well. The film stars Akshay Kumar along with Kiara Advani and Sharad Kelkar.

In Laxmmi Bomb, this is said to be one of his most out of the box and yet a challenging characters till date as Akshay will be seen portraying the role of a transgender in the film.

The film has been produced by Fox Star Studios in association with Akshay Kumar’s Cape Of Good Films. The film has been directed by Raghava Lawrence which would be releasing in India digitally on Disney + Hotstar VIP and not in the theatres given the ongoing COVID 19 global pandemic.

It will be released in India and globally on the 9th November 2020. Globally, it would be released only at the movie theatres in Australia, New Zealand, and UAE simultaneously. This film is being termed as a Diwali 2020 release.
